Major General Shalal Al Shayea, Director of Aden Security, on Thursday inaugurated a Civil Defence Centre in the Omar Al-Mukhtar neighbourhood in the Sheikh Othman District in Yemen following its rehabilitation and furnished it with new equipment provided by the UAE.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Major General Al Shayea thanked the leadership, the government and the people of the UAE for their constant support to Aden’s security.

''The Civil Defence Centre in the Omar Al-Mukhtar neighbourhood is the fifth in Aden to be rehabilitated and fitted by the UAE,'' he added.

A number of top commanders of the civil defence and security attended the event.
