A delegation from the UAE State Ministry for the Affairs of the Federal National Council visited the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) and was briefed about the efforts of the establishment to enhance political awareness and spread the culture of democracy, tolerance, belonging and patriotism.
The delegation commended the establishment of the institution, which was set up to highlight the key pillars of the reform project, which was initiated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
The BIPD officials welcomed the UAE delegation, stressing cooperation will the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and the Arab states in all fields.
They briefed the delegation about the BIPD functions, training programmes and various initiatives to support researchers in political, legal, constitutional and human rights fields.
They also offered the delegation a collection of recent BIPD studies which focus on the political and human rights situation in Bahrain and other Arab states.
The UAE delegation also presented the shield of the State Ministry for the Affairs of the Federal National Council.
