UN Security Council

The United Arab Emirates has congratulated the State of Kuwait for being elected a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the next two years.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed its full confidence of Kuwait's diplomatic abilities to represent the Arab World and its issues properly.
''The Kuwaiti diplomacy under the leadership of the Emir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, plays a positive role towards regional issues, particularly its humanitarian and development engagement which reflected positively on Kuwait's weight regionally and globally,'' the ministry said.
