The family of Palestinian prisoner Muhammad Dawod from Bethlehem informed the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) that he launched a hunger strike eight days ago to protest his administrative detention.
PPS said in a press release that 34-year-old Dawod is detained without charge or trial in Ofer prison.
He was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison and served 5 years before being released in the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange in 2011 following an agreement between Israel and Hamas.
