Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman will visit Tehran next week, Iran\'s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian announced Monday. Sultan Qaboos\'s visit to Tehran comes in the framework of strengthening bilateral relations and consultations on latest regional developments, Abdollahian told the Iranian Fars News Agency (FNA). He said that relations between Iran and the GCC countries are based on friendship and mutual trust, adding that both sides are keen to enhance cooperation in environmental and security issues.
