Member of the Council of Representatives and Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Assoomi, has stressed the strong official and popular brotherly Bahraini-Egyptian relations, describing them as a distinguished Arab role model.

He also lauded the efforts of Egypt’s House of Representatives to combat terrorism, as well as all forces and organisations that support it and fund it firmly.

Al-Assomi was speaking while meeting Egypt’s House of Representatives Speaker, Dr. Ali Abdel Aal, in the presence of Secretary-General, Chancellor Ahmed Saad Eldin.

Al-Assoomi an invitation from Bahrain’s Council of Representatives Speaker, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, to his Egyptian counterpart to visit Bahrain.

Dr. Ali Abdel Aal expressed appreciation for the invitation, lauding the progress boom witnessed by the kingdom thanks to its leadership and its people.

He requested Al-Assoomi to convey his greetings and appreciation to His Majesty King HAamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

He stressed the importance of the solid deep-rooted Egyptian-Bahraini relations, calling concerted Arab efforts to face the challenges Arab countries, particularly terrorism.
