Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham Al Jowder congratulated His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, on being unanimously elected as President of West Asia Athletics Federation for a new term spanning up to 2020.
The minister said the unanimous election of HH Shaikh Khalid is considered a recognition of his outstanding position in the regional and continental arena and reaffirm his capability and efficacy to lead the federation’s helm towards more excellent administrative and technical accomplishments.

Al Jowder also commended HH Shaikh Khalid’s successful accomplishments since he presided over Bahrain Athletic Association as well as his accomplishments since he assumed the presidency of West Asia Athletics Federation, wishing him more success in charting the federation’s plans and strategies capable of further revitalization of West Asian athletics.
