The Green Zone area in Baghdad has been undergoing tight security measures since Wednesday’s early hours. According to security sources, almost all outlets and bridges surrounding it were closed up halting activity in the capital’s downtown area. The measures come a day after the Iraqi Interior Ministry denied reports published by media regarding an armed attack targeting the green zone.
