Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday opened of the sixth term of Majlis Al Shura. Speaking at the opening session, the Saudi King asked the new members of Majlis Al Shura (the consultative council of Saudi Arabia) to address the issues of public concern “wisely and without haste.” “Our concerted goal is based on the trust in Allah Almighty to help you activate the works of the Council with the most rational thinking that not be dragged to hasty that involve noisy uproar without tangible results,” Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the King as saying. The King said: “The advancement which we are all seeking is based on graduation away from any influence. You have to know that your presence in Majlis Al Shura is a duty and representation of the Saudi society segments rather than an honour. “So, this job levies its own responsibility by encouraging you to upgrade your performance and keep rational while discussing and deciding any issue that you are going to take,” the king added.
