Saudi Arabia\'s security authority has renewed warning of the use of gun shootings during celebrations and weddings in the country, local media reported Sunday. Minister of Interior Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz told Saudi News Agency on Saturday that owners of celebration halls will be held responsible if gun shootings are associated with the parties there host. Shooting in the air is common in Saudi Arabia as a sign of celebration. Such a practice, familiar in some other Arab countries, has led to many deaths and serious injuries among celebrators. The minister warned of jail term and fines against violators. The authority has also sought the help from scholars to instruct people to avoid such unsafe behaviors.
