The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said Thursday that the population of Palestinians in the world has reached 12.7 million by the end of 2016.

The report said that 4.88 million Palestinians live in the Palestinian territories and 1.53 millions live inside Israel, while nearly 5.59 million live in other Arab states and 696,000 live in other countries.

The report said that the population of the West Bank has reached 2.97 million, and of Gaza Strip, 1.91 million.

The number of Palestinians in Israel has totaled 6.41 million by the end of 2016, while Israelis will reach 6.45 million by the end of the year, the report said.

Average household size in Palestine has dropped to nearly 5.2 in 2015.
