HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met at his Emiri Diwan Office on Monday with First Vice President of the Republic of Sudan Ali Osman Mohamed Taha and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of their visit to the country to participate in the signing ceremony of the final peace agreement between the Government of Sudan and the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), on the basis of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur as well as the International Donor Conference for Reconstruction and Development of Darfur, currently in session in Doha.At the beginning of the meeting, HH the Heir Apparent congratulated the Sudanese First Vice President on the positive results that emerged out from the conference and the signing of the agreement between the Government of Sudan and the JEM, praising the role played by all Sudanese parties to end their differences for Darfur’s peace, stability and development.HH the Heir Apparent also emphasized the importance of Sudan’s stability for the Arab and Islamic nation.Bilateral relations and ways to develop them in all fields, especially in economics and investment, as well as a number of regional and international issues of common interest were also reviewed during the meeting
