The Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Chief Executive Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Dinah today received the newly appointed Regional Director of the United Nations Environment Programme for West Asia (UNEP) Sami Dimassi.

Bin Dina congratulated Dimassi on his new post, stressing boosting cooperation in the preservation of the environment and finding solutions to address local and regional environment issues.

Initiatives and thoughts being implemented by the UNEP were reviewed, in addition to the exchange of expertise and the implementation of sustainable environment and development projects, mainly joint Gulf ones.

Dimassi praised the SCE efforts to protect the environment, welcoming cooperation in finding solutions to the environment issues.
