Marking the Shura Council’s approval of a draft law to endorse the general budget for the two fiscal years 2017-2018 after its approval by the Representatives Council, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa lauded strong and continuous cooperation between the executive and legislative branches which contributed to defining the new budget despite current economic challenges. He affirmed keenness to continue preserving citizens’ rights and providing all kinds of support for people with medium and limited income and those most in need.
HRH the Premier emphasised that cooperation between the executive and legislative branches will go ahead regarding policies and procedures of financial natures. He commended concordance in visions between the two branches in discussing the budget amid global economic challenges, underlining keenness to protect the rights of citizens.
