 Information Affairs Ministry Undersecretary Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahr received the team in charge of the setting up the National Archives.

The team includes Archives director-general Dr. Abdulla Mohammed Al-Raisi, executive director Majid Sultan Al-Muhairi and Archives director Hamad Abdulla Al-Muhairi. Isa Cultural Centre (ICC) Advisor Fawaz Ahmed Salman also attended the meeting.

The Undersecretary hailed cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in all fields, commending the team’s efforts to set this strategic milestone that aims to conserve national memory and preserve achievements, which will contribute to the march of development and prosperity, whose foundations were laid by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.

He highlighted Bahrain’s millennia-old civilizational heritage and deep-rooted history which will be showcased by the planned national archives milestone.

The team staged a presentation, detailing the project’s goals and multi-phased steps to achieve pre-set objectives. The planned National Archives will be established in cooperation with the Isa Cultural Centre (ICC) which boasts books, documents and manuscripts of great value.

The team expressed thanks and appreciation to the undersecretary for the warm welcome, stressing cooperation and partnership with the ministry.
