The Ministry of Infrastructure Development announced the closing a lane of the Al Badee Interchange towards Ras al-Khaimah, with a reduced capacity of two lanes instead of three, starting from 1.00am on Friday until 5.00am on Sunday, with aim of road work as part of the plan to develop the Al Badee Interchange.
The ministry pointed out to road users and drivers about the necessity to take all precautions and care while driving and abiding by the traffic rules and traffic signs, and adhering to the speed limit to maintain their safety.
Eng. Ahmed Al Hammadi, Director of the Roads Department in the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, said that the ministry is working on updating and applying best international practices in the field of road project construction, with the aim of creating a true qualitative leap in the developmental system that relates to the work of the ministry.
He added that through its work, the ministry aims to facilitate transport operations for the country’s citizens and residents, pointing out that road development projects support the UAE’s vision and the ministry’s strategy, which relies on the building and development of a high-quality federal road network, and supports economic growth and contributes in elevating social welfare standards.
