Alexandria - MENA
Sobhi Saleh, leading Muslim Brotherhood official and member of the Constituent Assembly, was attacked by opponents of President Mohamed Morsi gathering at Sidi Gaber district in Alexandria. Sources close to Saleh said he was ambulanced to a nearby hospital and was put in the intensive care unit because he was harshly beaten up. The attack comes shortly after ex-presidential hopeful Abul Azz el-Hariri was beaten by supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood near the group's headquarters in Semouha. Hariri accused some MB leaderships, including Sobhi Saleh, of planning this attack.
