Labour Ministry urges commitment to values, traditions

Ministry of Labour and Social Development has stressed the need to be committed to the values and traditions that ensure the protection of civic peace in the kingdom, and to avoid everything that may spark discord among the citizens.
The Ministry praised the joint statement issued by its affiliate NGOs in which they condemned and renounced some malpractices by some parties following the visit of an unauthorised group to the kingdom.

In this regard, the Ministry of Labour and Social Development issued a circular to all authorised NGOs that fall under its umbrella on the importance of commitment to fundamentals and standards to be observed while hosting foreign delegation, or while carrying out activities or programmes, based on the provisions of the Constitution, and Law on Associations, Social and Cultural Clubs, Special Committees Working in the Field of Youth and Sports, and Private Institutions, promulgated by Decree-Law 21/1989.

In the circular, the Ministry called for the need to respect religious fundamentals and social principles, values and traditions while hosting foreign delegations.

It also stressed the need to refrain from carrying out any activities that may provoke national feelings, or ignite religious discord.
