Kuwait has always been a pioneer in Islamic Da\'wa affairs, welfare and charity inside the country and abroad, Minister of Oil and acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Hani Abulaziz Hussein has affirmed. The minister\'s assertion was made on his behalf by Head of Holy Kor\'an Affairs Department at the Ministry, Khalid Bughaith, in a speech addressing honoring ceremony for winners of Al-Ruhaimani 11th Kor\'an competition for newly converted Muslims and expatriate communities, held late on Tuesday. One of the most prominent Da\'wa affairs is serving the Holy Qur\'an in all parts of the world through studying and reciting and supporting Qur\'an reciters, the Minister added in his speech. Koranic competitions supervised by Islam Presentation Committee (IPC) are examples of this, an institution that spreads Da\'wa and the peaceful core of Islam, being the reason for thousands of people to embrace Islam, he said. IPC Deputy Director General Abdulaziz Ahmad Al-Duaij hailed the important role of holy Kor\'an in enlightening people and encouraging them to \"enter Islam.\" This is a motivation for us to print large quantities of Kor\'an translations, and organize Kor\'an reciting competitions, especially for new Muslims of the non-Arabic speakers, he affirmed. The Director of Projects Department in IPC Jawdah Al-Fares hailed in his speech the role of Sulaiman Al-Ruhamani sons in supporting the competition for the 11th consecutive year. The competition witnessed this year remarkable participation of 750 Muslims from various nationalities, he added. The competition was announced in the IPC publications issued in six languages, reflecting the distinguished Da\'wa efforts the committee exerts.
