King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa

Under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ‘THIS IS BAHRAIN”, Los Angeles, will hold an exhibition, dinner and press conference to officially launch ‘The Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration’ and ‘The King Hamad Global Centre for Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-Existence” which will complement the launch of the King Hamad Chair in Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-Existence at Sapienza University in Rome last year.

The exhibition will feature the Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Sikh and Hindu communities, portraying the Kingdom’s outstanding religious freedom, and the dinner and press conference will be attended by international media, religious leaders, ambassadors, senators, celebrities and community leaders.
‘The Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration’, a document that commits to promoting religious freedom for all in the spirit of mutual respect and love leading to peaceful co-existence and the eradication of extremism, is modelled on the visionary leadership philosophy of His Majesty King Hamad.
It will be signed by heads of state, religious leaders and dignitaries at a special ceremony to be held in Bahrain in November 2017 during the dedication for the launch of ‘The King Hamad Global Centre for Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-Existence’.
Religious leaders from around the world will congregate in Bahrain to sign “The Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration” and to announce the inauguration of “The King Hamad Global Centre”.
This confirms that Bahrain is now a major global centre for all important meetings, dialogues and conferences related to bringing peace and harmony amongst all faiths and to the eradication of terrorism, extremism and the radicalisation of young people.
The King Hamad Global Centre will be a newly built facility on land which is donated by His Majesty The King and will include a Museum to showcase the centuries old legacy of Bahrain’s religious freedom and peaceful–coexistence.
Bahrain is home to hundreds of Mosques, churches of all denominations, and Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist temples and synagogues that serve the needs of the country’s multi-cultural, multi-faith populace.
Currently, the construction of the Our Lady of Arabia Cathedral, the largest Church ever built on the Arabian Peninsula, is taking place on land donated by His Majesty The King. It will be housed alongside a new mosque, in a clear evidence of Bahrain’s willingness to retain and expand its position as the region’s leading light for religious freedom and peaceful co-existence.
