The Supreme State Security Prosecution

The Supreme State Security Prosecution Sunday referred a file of the resigned judge, who is charged with taking a bribe of EGP 650,000, to Alexandria appeal court to set a date for trying him before Alexandria criminal court.

The resigned judge and five other persons are facing accusations of bribe-taking and influence-peddling in return for acquitting one of the defendants in a case of drug trafficking.

The judge along with three bribe payers and two mediators were seized at a café in Alexandria while taking EGP 250,000 as part of the kickeback sum.
