Member of the Amman Chamber of Industry Board Fathi Al Jaghbeer said that the Algerian market is important for Jordanian industrial exports as it is one of the promising markets in light of the closure of neighboring countries’ markets.
In a press statement on Sunday following the participation of Jordanian industrial companies in the International Fair of Algiers, he said that trade exchange between Jordan and Algeria is still modest. Al Jaghbeers noted that Jordanian exports to the north African Arab country in 2015 stood at JD150 million while imports amounted to JD12 million.
Al Jaghbeer added that the Jordanian delegation that took part in the event held talks with Algerian officials on means to promote trade ties as well as the possibility of organizing a fair for Algerian industries in the Kingdom.
