The joint meeting of the councils of the Arab ministers of health and environment kicked off on Thursday at the Arab League HQ.
AL Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit attended the meeting alongside representatives from the World Health Organization and the United Nations Environment Program.
The meeting focuses on means of confronting environmental dangers and their impact on health in the Arab region.
The talks also tackle an Arab health and environment strategy for protection from non-contagious diseases as well as protecting people more liable to environment pollution diseases.
The talks also review means of upgrading health and environment sectors within the framework of the 2030 international sustainable development goals.
