Iraqi Prime Minister and General Commander of the Iraqi Armed Forces Haider al Abadi inspected on Friday military units in Kirkuk city and met with security and military leaders in the governorate of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
During his tour, Abadi asserted that Iraqi forces would purge districts of Al Hawija, Al Riyadh and Al Rashad from Daesh militants.
Also, he called on all segments of the Iraqi people to stand behind their armed forces to free all Iraqi cities from Daesh terrorists.
Furthermore, the Iraqi premier thanked the Iraqi Armed Forces for their sacrifices.
Al Hawija district, home to 115,000 Iraqi citizens and controlled by Daesh militants, is suffering from a humanitarian disaster due to the deteriorating humanitarian situation there.
