The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s interior ministers asserted on Wednesday that their countries are committed to combating all terror groups that threaten the security and stability of the GCC states and the region.
Also, they praised the establishment of the Islamic coalition to face terrorism.
The GCC interior ministers discussed in their consultative meeting, held in Riyadh under Saudi Interior Minister Mohammed bin Naif, a number of important security topics that are expected to contribute to promoting the joint security work and bolstering the GCC stability, Secretary General of the GCC Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani said.
Also, they touched on the vision of the Saudi king to strengthen the Gulf joint security work, he added.
Furthermore, they hailed the signature of a cooperation agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and Qatar in the security field, describing it as a key step towards cementing the security cooperation between the two countries, he asserted.
