Information Affairs Undersecretary Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar said the participation of the Information Affairs Ministry in the eighth edition of Youth City 2030, in cooperation with the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry, comes in implementation of the directives of Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi and the keenness of both ministries to prepare and qualify Bahraini media staff in conformity with the national project to develop the media and communication sector and launch Bahrain’s new media identity according to the best international standards.
The undersecretary took part in the opening ceremony of the Youth City 2030 held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative to HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, who delegated Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder to open the event.
The undersecretary said the Media Training Centre at the Youth City 2030 follows the latest professional practices in the media field to include areas of production, photography, editing, sound engineering, graphic and TV preparation and presentation, in cooperation with leading national and international media institutions.
He praised the cooperation between the two ministries as an embodiment of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and stressed the Information Ministry’s keenness to support the Youth and Sport Ministry to achieve this ambitious project and create a similar environment for the labour market to guide and educate the youth about Bahrain’s economy driving sectors and provide them with a suitable environment to boost their creative and productive skills and actively contribute to the development process.
