All ministries, departments and public institutions will observe a holiday on Thursday, May 25, on the occasion of the Independence Day, according to a decision issued Sunday by Prime Minister Hani Al-Mulki.

Jordan won its full independence from the British mandate and was declared a Kingdom on May 25, 1946.
