A large fire broke out at Farah hospital in the Jordanian capital Amman, on Monday afternoon, sending thick smoke billowing into the air, witnesses said. Civil Defence Department sources told Arab Today that the fire erupted at the expansion project of the private hospital and not the main building. They said that workers and patients were evacuated from the hospital, and that 80 percent of the blaze had been dealt with. An investigation into how the fire started is under way.
