Syrian activists said regime forces operations in Homs left the areas controlled by the rebel forces in difficult humanitarian conditions, Aljazeera reported Wednesday. The activists said these areas suffer sharp shortage in food and medical stuffs. This has caused the number of deaths among those injured in the infighting to go up. Syria has been engulfed by violence since mid-March 2011, with deadly clashes between President Bashar al-Assad\'s security forces and opposition fighters, leaving thousands of people dead.
