His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the BDF Supreme Commander, paid a visit today to the Royal Artillery where he was welcomed by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, Chief of Staff Major General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al-Khalifa and senior officers. HM the King inspected the Guard of Honour. Then, HM was briefed about the duties of the Royal Artillery and the development stages it has undergone. After that, HM the King met officers from the unit and gave them his valuable directives, lauding the distinguished efforts made by the Royal Artillery affiliates and their outstanding standard. HM the King underlined constant keenness to upgrade all BDF weaponry and equip it with cutting- edge military technologies. HM took pride in BDF personnel for their dedicated work to defend the nation, maintain its unity and independence and protect national achievements. HM stressed the need to boost military cooperation with the GCC and friendly countries by holding joint military exercises and exchanging expertise in order to promote regional security and stability.
