Hamas has called upon Egyptian authorities to speed up the process of opening Rafah crossing, following it\'s closure Friday morning. Dr Mahmoud al-Zahar, a member of Hamas, left a statement on his Facebook social media page demanding Egypt to \"end the suffering of hundreds of Palestinian passengers stranded both ways on the Rafah crossing.\" The crossing was suddenly closed on Friday morning after Egyptian authorities blocked access. The decision came as a response to the abduction of six Egyptian soldiers in Sinai on Thursday by unidentified gunmen. The case is still ongoing.
