Gaza City - Ma’an
The anti-drugs unit of the Gaza police force seized a large stash of illegal drugs on Wednesday, a statement said.
Police received a tip off about drug dealers using mattresses to smuggle pills and drug paraphernalia and set up surveillance on a location in northern Gaza.
Upon raiding the location, police found over 800 pills, a gun and other drug equipment.
Director of the anti-drugs unit Imad Al-Amsi said police were working "day and night" to catch anyone smuggling drugs in the Gaza Strip.
The suspects are facing legal procedures.
