The public prosecution

The public prosecution has directed the Forensic Medicine Authority to perform autopsy on the body of former State Council secretary general Counselor Wael Shalaby who committed suicide earlier Monday in detention.

The deceased counselor has been detained for four days pending investigations over bribery charges.

A prosecution team rushed to Shalby's detention to examine the body and find the cause of the death.

The prosecution has tasked the authority to unravel the reasons of the death in light of the autopsy and examination outcomes.
