Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC), on Tuesday, emphasised that the prestigious status of UAE as the biggest donor of developmental aid in the world reflects the vision of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and represents the culmination of his efforts to establish the country's commitment to its global humanitarian mission.
She made the remarks on the occasion of the Zayed Humanitarian Day, dedicated to commemorate the anniversary of the Sheikh Zayed on the 19th day of Ramadan every year across the country through wide-ranging charitable initiatives and activities.
She went on to say that the occasion reflects the humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed as well as the deep-rooted Emirati values of solidarity and tolerance.
Al Qubaisi added that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, continues to be a role model for unlimited generosity and humanitarian action to help those in need and contribute towards global peace, stability and development across the world.
The FNC speaker also praised His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates for directing efforts to promote a spirit of humanitarian action that transformed the UAE into a role model for other states.
