The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, honoured the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, SEWA, for its outstanding role and co-operation in the field of voluntary and charitable work and its support for its humanitarian programmes.

Dr. Engineer Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of SEWA, received the shield and certificate of honour from Abdullah Ali Obaid Al Muhairi, Director of the ERC.

Dr. Engineer Rashid Al Leem stressed the Authority's keenness to support volunteer programmes and develop its humanitarian work through the adoption of best practices.

Al leem praised the role of the ERC in providing assistance to the needy inside and outside the country and its humanitarian programmes, which contributed to show the civilised and humanitarian face of the state.

He confirmed that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of

Sharjah, are adopting initiatives that enhance their humanitarian role.
