Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday met with President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Tadateru Konoe and called on the federation to intervene to offer assistance to more than 500,000 Syrian refugees in Jordan. Ensour pointed out that this large number of refugees puts massive burdens on Jordan’s already-strained resources. Konoe praised Jordan’s efforts to provide various services to this large number of refugees. He also spoke about the IFRC’s relief efforts in various spots of the world.
