The Government of Sharjah's Social Services Department, SSSD, has signed an MoU with the Emirates Association for Retired Citizens to activate and strengthen institutional, community, local and humanitarian partnerships for the benefit of the organisation's target groups.
The MoU was signed by Afaf Ibrahim Al Marri, Head of SSSD, and Faraj Ismail, Chairman of the Emirates Association for Retired Citizens. The meeting was attended by the organisations' representatives.
Al Marri highlighted the importance of partnering with the association to better social services and care for retirees. Areas of cooperation include the exchange of statistical data, research and studies on various social aspects related to retirees, as well as training and workshops between the two organisations, he added.
