Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani

H.H. the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani of Qatar, met Monday in his office at the Emiri Diwan with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and his accompanying delegation.

Sheikh Abdullah is visiting Qatar to participate and preside over the UAE's delegation at the sixth session of UAE-Qatar Joint Higher Committee, held today.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. They wished Sheikh Tamim well, and further prosperity and welfare to the fraternal people of Qatar.

The Emir of Qatar asked Sheikh Abdullah to convey his regards to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He wished them well, and further progress to Emirati people.

The Emir of Qatar expressed his hope that the joint committee's meeting will further enhance co-operation in all fields. At the meeting they also reviewed bilateral relations and tackled a number of regional and international issues of joint interest.

Among those who attended the meeting were Khalid Ghanem Al Ghaith, Assistant Minister of UAE Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Economic Affairs, and the UAE Ambassador to Qatar, Saleh Mohammed bin Nasra Al Ameri.
