Cairo - Arab Today
Egypt's permanent representative at the Arab League Khaled Galal has asserted the military solution to Syria's war will not end the conflict in the Arab country.
Addressing an emergency meeting of the Arab League council at the level of the representatives on Thursday to discuss the conditions in Aleppo, he said any military solution will remain temporary and will not achieve the stability of Syria in the aftermath of the increase of the number of refugees and the collapse of economy.
He said what is happening in Syria now is a proxy conflict, pointing out that combating terror must not justify the killing of children and women.
He cited president Abdel Fattah El Sisi's statements that Egypt is determined to stamp out terrorism and extended thanks for the Arab delegates who condemned the terrorist attack inside the Boutrosiya church on Sunday which killed and wounded scores of innocent worshippers.
