Egypt's Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr returned home Thursday wrapping up a three-day Arab tour that took him to Morocco and Tunisia. During his visit to Morocco, he partook in the fourth ministerial meeting of the international "Friends of Syria" group in Marrakech, which recognized the Syrian National Council as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people. In a brief visit to Tunisia, Amr participated in the 9th Forum for the Future of The Broader Middle East and North Africa Initiative co-chaired by Tunisia and the United States. In his speech before the forum, Amr expressed Egypt's welcome to co-chair the forum in 2013 with Britain. During his visit, the top Egyptian diplomat held talks with Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki on ways of boosting bilateral relations and the regional situation including the Palestinian issue and the Syria crisis
