Director-General of the Arab Labour Organization (ALO) Ahmed Mohamed Lukman arrived here today. In a statement upon arrival Lukman said his visit to Sudan comes within the framework of the smart partnership between the Sudanese Ministry of Labour and the Organization to achieve the success of a seminar on the launch of the first report on the Arab labor markets information. He stressed that the report will be discussed as the first report to look into the Arab labor market conditions and challenges facing the Arab region. The Arab Labor Organization will hold tomorrow in Khartoum a nationwide workshop to launch the first Arab report on the Arab labour markets information with the participation of more than twelve Arab countries represented by ministries and statistical organizations as well as the International Confederation of Arab Trade Unions, the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries, in addition to a number of Arab and international organizations, including the Arab League General Secretariat, the Executive Office of GCC Labour Ministers Council, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS) and some related research centres.
