Cairo Customs foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of medicines without paying necessary customs dues, a well-placed source at the Customs Authority said late on Wednesday.

Customs officers suspected an Egyptian passenger coming from Athens. After searching her luggage, they found 310 medicine boxes.

Necessary legal action was taken against the passenger.
