Manama - ArabToday
Bahrain's Interior Ministry on Sunday ordered a probe on a prison attack, which killed a policeman and let some inmates convicted for terror crimes to escape.
Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa ordered the formation of a committee to investigate the circumstances of the case, which involved "a terrorist cell of four to six members, armed with automatic rifles and pistols."
It further warned citizens of harboring the convicts at large.
A ministry statement said the attack at the Reformation and Rehabilitation Center, which is also called Jaw Prison, located south of the capital Manama, led to the death of a policeman, Abdulsalam Saif Ahmed, and injured another policeman.
The ministry released names and photographs of the 10 men after Sunday's prison attack. They were all convicted in previous terrorist cases with some inmates serving 73 to 79 years imprisonment.
