The Minister of Justice, H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, chairs the meeting of the 25th Session of GCC Council of Justice Ministers hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Tuesday and Wednesday, 1-2 October. In his inaugural speech, the Minister welcomed GCC Ministers of Justice and participating delegations, thanking the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which had chaired the previous session, lauding the efforts of the Saudi Minister of Justice, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul-Kareem Al-Essa, that culminated in the success of the previous session and accomplished several important projects. Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa praised the process of constant, sustainable development of the GCC judiciary in the GCC countries aimed to transform the aspirations of Their Majesties and Their Highnesses the GCC leaders into substantial reality for the sake of the welfare and prosperity of the GCC countries and peoples and the Arab world in general. The agenda of the meeting comprise sundry discussion items, including a bill of law for the Consolidated Law for GCC Judiciary, a Guidebook on Procedures for Implementation of Verdicts, Proxies and Summons in the GCC and proposed Instruction Manual for lawyers in the GCC countries submitted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
