Al Azhar's Undersecretary Abbas Shoman underlined the need of establishing a national council for education to draw up policies to serve the educational process.
This came during a speech he delivered on Sunday before the third international conference, which is organized by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
He further said that Al Azhar will be at the forefront of supporters to the national council for education, once it is established.
The council should also adopt a mechanism to link education with the labor market needs, through supporting vocational education and providing jobs for their graduates in the private and public factories.
