The Arab League will host Wednesday the 17 meeting of the permanent team of Arab media experts tasked with following-up the role of Arab media in addressing the phenomenon of terrorism.
The Arab League said in a statement Tuesday that the two-day meeting will discuss the progress of the implementation of the recommendations issued at the 16th meeting of the team, and the recommendations issued at the workshop held in Sudan about the role of Arab media in fighting terrorism.
The meeting will also review the follow-up of the implementation steps of the five-year plan of the Arab joint media strategy for combating terrorism, which includes the establishment of several events such as conferences, seminars, training courses, scientific forums, and the preparation of scientific studies and research on combating terrorism.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of the member states of the Arab League and a number of organizations and bodies that practice information functions in the Council of Arab Information Ministers.
