The 28th session of the Arab Ministers of Justice Council kicked off on Monday under the chairmanship of Mauritania.  The meeting was attended by Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Elaraby.  The State of Qatar\'s delegation to the meeting is headed by HE Justice Minister Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim.  The meeting is expected to focus on a number of topics related to means of combating terrorism and bolstering Arab and international cooperation in fighting this phenomenon.  The Council will study a proposed Arab agreement on human trafficking and a draft law proposal on naval piracy.  The Arab Justice Ministers are due to discuss proposals presented by Palestine on the investigations regarding the death of late Palestinian president Yasser Arafat as well as ways to support a development project of the Palestinian Ministry of Justice and proposals submitted by the State of Qatar on a draft agreement for cooperation between the judicial authorities in the Arab countries, in addition to Arab draft agreement to regulate organ transplants, draft agreement to prevent human cloning and a draft strategy to develop the judiciary and the justice systems.  The ministers will also discuss ways of bolstering judiciary cooperation among Arab countries.
