Algeria's 23 million voters will head to polling stations

Algeria's 23 million voters will head to polling stations to elect 462 new members of the People's National Assembly to represent them for the five years ahead.
Of the 23,251,000 registered voters, 22,296,000 of them are expected to vote, while the remaining 955,000 represent Algerians abroad. Voters will choose their representatives from among 11,300 candidates distributed in 938 lists, including 841 lists representing political parties and alliances, and the rest distributed to free candidates.
Polling authorities set up 12,115 polling stations. The Algerian expatriate community casted their ballots on Saturday, while nomadic and residents of remote areas began voting on Monday at mobile offices.
