Al-Bashir stresses Sudan's keenness on supporting stability in Libya

Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir on Monday reiterated his country's keenness on supporting stability in Libya and emphasized the need to continue efforts to establish lasting peace.

    This came during Al-Bashir's meeting in Khartoum with the Libyan Envoy and Advisor of Speaker of Libya Parliament for African Affairs and African Union Abdul-Monem Yousif Bosafita.

    Sudan news agency (SUNA) quoted the Libyan Envoy as saying in a press statement that the meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways of boosting them.

    He added that the meeting also discussed situations along the joint borders and securing these borders by the joint force from the outlaws the move which, he explained, would serve interest of the two countries.

    Al-Bashir also met with Bencambo Email, the special envoy of the President of the Central African Republic Faustin-Archange to Sudan. The Envoy stressed that boosting relations between the two countries would help overcome many of the challenges in the borderline area. 

    He also expressed his country's desire to establish strategic partnerships with Sudan in the security, political and economic fields and to strengthen border security operations. He also expressed his desire that Sudan will be a crossing point for it to the Gulf Region.

    He said he has also conveyed to the president of Sudan the greeting and appreciation of the president of CAR for the support it has been receiving from Khartoum
