Agriculture Minister Essam Fayyed chaired on Tuesday a meeting of the board of the National Center for Planning State Land Uses.
Representatives from the ministries concerned attended the meeting to review requests by ministries and governorates on allocating lands for public projects.
The board approved allocating 42 kilometers on the Cairo-Alex desert road for establishing Central Security Forces camps.
Some 1,785 feddans were allocated for establishing a comprehensive industrial zone in Giza.
The board also approved a request of Fayyoum governorate to allocate lands for establishing three Azharite institutes, an industrial complex for producing salt in addition to tourism, commercial and housing projects.
The board approved land allocation for expanding the Belbis-10th of Ramadan industrial zone in addition to a Beni Suef request for allocating lands for reclamation and planting.
The board approved the Electricity Ministry's request to establish a new transformers station in Kafr el Sheikh in addition to a request by Menya governorate to establish a waste recycling project in Bersha district.
The board also approved a request by New Valley governorate on establishing a silos complex in Masara village.
